One time in mid of January my friend and I went to SM to eat at Pancake house, at the center of the mall we saw a car like a race car, and take note no need of gasoline because its power is from the solar energy. I was not amazed because I haven’t seen it moving.  But in deeper conclusion that I never realized is that it is one of the best solutions to our energy crisis right now.
Lately, this week, here in Davao del Sur, most especially in the provinces we experience brownouts because of the lack of power and scheduled electricity for conserving energy. OMG! this is the most craziest project and most complicated project we ever done in our IT college years not to mention the Thesis. But this time we really do the measuring of the building, schematizing, placing MDF and IDF, costing, and even proposing it by a Proposal Defense with our panelist Sir Eric Emberda, Sir Laud our Adviser and our very own Mr. Joseph Yamit, and it end up to a re defense and major revision. whoaw!and mind you, we are pure girls, me, IC, kali, vlad, tin2 and babes.

Then we really do our best just for our networking proposal to be accepted, we done it by brain storming (hahha.. I laugh of the term) and by not sleeping. I assure you that, we finished it until the sun came out.Now that what I called Sleepless night.. hehhehe

I really did learn something about networking from our last Saturday activity in our CCNA laboratory where we are group to create a network topology using the real routers, switches and using the Tera Term, I really did well enjoy and very lucky to have a group mate like Ate Claud a really smart ECE board passer, kuya lito from Link2Support and my batch mates and Ate Mona. Then later this afternoon, the network admin in our company, transfer their new server with the new routers and switches to the new room, as for the developers its rest time because the server will be down. I am really happy to be with them again in the networking area. Oh! My! I was shock when I saw I think six server like proxy servers, VPN, asterisk and etc., though it is so hard to connect what they doing because there are a lot of cables(though it is in color coding) including the data and voice cables, the console cables and other Ethernet cables. In configuration, my! Nosebleed! Configuring the server using FEDORA Linux operating system (asterisk -r …), bow for Sir Ogie and Sir Ken.

I need to learn first JavaScript and then AJAX. My mind was twirling when our software head told me to make this functionality using JavaScript and AJAX.This language is really indeed very useful in developing websites.

Practice really makes perfect.
Networking is not just an run of the mill subject like programming, you really need to analyze, read and etc. (And that’s’ how I hate it, but though I love it too)
And finally I was able to simulate the network topology in our last exam…here… Good Luck for our exam tomorrow.
Honestly, though Packet tracer is complicated, but to some extent it is cool!

Also, If you want to see how bad I am in animation view my last project in our CGA, I made for 1 day just to catch with the deadline because we are super busy last week.The instruction is . Submit two intro movies for the UIC website, one 30 second movie and one 1 minute movie. ANd here’s mine 30s and 1 min. (some of the animation there were from tutorials(I only follow the instructions not my creativity ), and I know the music are the worst ever..lol!)

I am not surprise but I already expecting for the results. I am not that bad, but the quiz needs time to study. And who needs time? Everybody needs it! But for my recent condition, I can’t anymore take a peak on it. Data Communication subject really needs effort to study, not just reading but to analyze it again and again. This subject is really important to our careers, and to measure my knowledge to it? I totally failed! This past days, I am or we are so very busy in our ITE Festival preparation, our seniors uniform and a lot more, plus our other subjects responsibilities like our PPL project, project Mgt. Project, our Sociology project, our SAD project, CGA project plus the bring home activities and in addition to that our accounting and economic solving problems really give us a nerves in getting the right result. And studying networking needs a very huge time for this of course you can’t answer the quiz by just understanding the sequence or how it works but you also MUST memorize the keys, foreign terms. That’s why I decline the invitation of Mr. House Speaker and the upcoming SSG president of the SSG to take the SSG position as Main PIO as the vacant slot for the SSG. Taking up the risk is so really hard to accept. I can’t say that I am irresponsible of my studies because I got this failing mark in our last quiz but I really need time, well in fact I sleep only for a 4-5hours a day and eat twice a day.

I hope for a change of lifestyle nest school year, a more likely to my 1^st and 2^nd year years. And wearing the seniors uniform in a great manner where I am not anymore running, shouting and etc.

I am really heartbroken, I am upset, For always failing this data com quiz.

You know what? I was angry every time I lost my connection in this F*cking smart bro! And here is my story I hope everyone who are planning to subscribe for a smart bro connection as his or her internet be aware of this.

Last week, I think it is Thursday or Friday. My sister, waked me up early in the morning saying that the there was no internet connection as she browsing the net, my sister already did the troubleshooting like repairing the network connection and other stuff, it still not working. And I answered her, “They might again fixing some eke k chu chu there, so do the browsing later”. Then after two hours, yeah! That is right I was still sleeping, my sister, waked me up, then telling me again, there is still no connection, and then I was bit alarming! Because of that, I still go back to sleep… heheheh… then at 11:00 am I am awake and turn on the PC, and when I log in to my YM try again message box pop up. And that means I have no connection. I do the troubleshooting that I know in the network connection, but still nothing happen! Then, the last option is to call *1888, then I pressed four then they connect me to the one of the agent to help me. I give him my reference number and others then I told him my condition. He instructed me to do the troubleshooting like typing command in CMD or command prompt like ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew and doing the plug and unplug the of the adaptor but then there is only one IP address I got. And unfortunately, I am still not connected!

Then after those stupid troubleshooting that it is obvious that it is not the solution, he said to me that it was my OS was in error! What! I said! Then he said I must reformat or consult to a computer technician about it! Then I said Okay, and thinking is he right? My OS? Why is that? My computer has no virus, it was purely installed by an Updated Anti-spyware, and he said that! Well, I don’t follow it, why? Because I don’t feel it was the right thing to do. I check the number of packets send and received, but then the number of packets received is still zero. And I feel hopeless; I reinstall again the LAN card driver but nothing happen!

After watching some of the movies that I downloaded which I wasn’t able to watch, my connection is still zero. I feel frustrated, I have a lot of blog post to do, and this state is a waste of time! I called to the hotline again; I restated my condition and applying again their style of trouble shooting. Stupid isn’t it? They called themselves technician concern representative and there giving me a ONE stupid idea of troubleshooting repeatedly. Then she finally said that she would contact a technician in our area to check the antenna and other stuff, and wait for maximum of 48 hours. Okay, I wait, I sacrifice for 2 days. I am only connected when it is night and early in the morning, however there were defects on that range of time, that I got disconnected and the worst part of it, when you are in the middle of posting a task in your blog and immediately “A connection Time out” would appear to your browser! It really gives me a headache especially to a person like me who has an Anemia.

Today, as the third day,48 hours is over and I still haven’t received any calls yet, I again and again called the service hotline and re-detail what happen and then telling me to wait for a couple of seconds and then telling me to wait and wait . F*CK THEM, I answered him back! “I am sorry but I have a lot of important things to do Online! And I must be connected overtime, unlimitedly! If this will not be fix! I will ask for a disconnection and transfer to another Internet service provider no matter what”. Then he answered me back (his name is McCoy) repeatedly with a sort of anger in a smooth way! Then without finishing his word, I told him, “Okay I will be expecting that, Bye” and hung up!

Imagine, I subscribe to smart bro for the case of unlimited connection, anytime and overtime and having a speed max of 512mbps but sad to say my maximum is only 260mbps, asking about my area, hey! I am in the downtown area! Moreover, it looks like SMART doesn’t mind it after all, they are only thinking of MONEY! MONEY! MONEY!

I suggest and I highly recommend for all who already subscribe to SMART BRO, please switch to another service. DSL is highly recommended. And those who want to subscribe to Smartbro please! Listen and trust me if you don’t want to have a headache!
