MTV Emerge is a platform for unsigned music talent in the Philippines to showcase their work and to be given an opportunity to win a one-year recording contract with Jeepney Music.
This is the good way to discover not yet unknown artists and hunt unsigned music talent from all genres of music. More Pilipino music artists can now showcase their talent in music and opportunity to share their music to the people. This is brought to you by MTV, Jeepney Music, and Department of Tourism collaboration.
MTV Emerge is an online music community and encourages musicians from any genres to join the contest by just register and upload photos and their original music video on the site. After which, a total of seven grand winners will be selected from the top entries on November 20 by a panel of judges including Apl.de.Ap, founder of Jeepney Music and Black Eyed Peas member. And the seven grand winners of MTV Emerge will win a one-year recording contract that includes artist management and promotion, digital distribution of 3 – 6 songs and a strategic marketing plan for the signed artists to break into both the Philippines and international markets with Jeepney Music and mentorship under Apl.de.Ap. The winners will also be invited and introduced by Apl.de.Ap at the live showcase event on November 27.
By the way, Jeepney Music is a platform for emerging artists created by Apl.de.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas .it is created for a change to give back to the Philippines and the globe. Jeepney Music provides promotional and collaborative opportunities to work with Grammy award-winning artist and producer Apl.de.Ap. An artist’s beats or music might be featured on Jeepney Radio or they might be invited to collaborate on a Jeepney Project. Wowowow…
As a music lover, I play the videos that the contestants uploaded and chose what the best and deserve to win, and I voted for Good Morning High Fives with the song “Let It Go”. It’s an acoustic song, more slightly like MYMP but totally different. Guys will really droll by the voice of the female vocalist. The song is for broken hearted out there, although I am not broken which in fact I am totally in love nowadays I really still love the song, I love to play it back again and again. Also in the video they display their group picture, they are really appealing and fit to be the next band that the whole world will love. How I wish I could download this music. Can’t wait…
