I think almost all bloggers who attended the DigitalFilipino.com Club – Bloggers Networking Event last night October 21, 2008 from 6:00 pm- 9:00 pm at Grand Regal Hotel has posted about this already. So, no need for more further details. lol

I meet new bloggers like Brenda, Kevin of PinoyTeens.net and there are also familiar faces who attended the event. It’s my first time to enter  a casino place (nosy) and they have a regulation that ages 20 and below are not allowed(boo!)

Thank you very much Ms. Janette Toral for initiating this event and for inviting us to be part of such an amazing party and also for the sponsor the PAGCOR, the food was really very delicious.

When I finally say CLOSE. it will be close forever.Deleting you and blocking  you is the least I can do to forget you. And it is so effective.

Congratulations to me!

Because of the busy schedule we had this year, only few seminars that we can attend to, and one of it is a must I mean compulsory to one of our Subject. There are also free career orientation held on our school but because of incoming deadlines I skip to attend it, too bad I hope I am not missing any important information than submitting a project on time.

Anyway, the first seminar I attended was last July 31, 2008, I participated the IBM CSC Lecture on Project Management and Software Development Life Cycle organized by DabaweGNU Inc in partnership with the IBM Corporate Service Corps Program. The speaker on that afternoon was the IBM India Pvt Ltd. Program Manager Mr. Sreejith N. Sankarapillai and hosted by Mr. Nathaniel B. Jayme the Board of Trustee of DabaweGNU, Inc. I was so  stranger on that seminar because I think I am the only UICian student there good thing Maam Tracy Lemke the senior programmer of Callbox Davao and our trainer in our OJT, who taught me standards on coding Php was there with her loving husband. Anyway, I wasn’t able to attend the second part due to time conflict I must attend first our Literature class because we will have a quiz on that day, and I can’t skip it my grades on Literature was totally sinking! I need to bring it up,and the fee struggles me.The seminar runs smothly, it tackles more about project management, the step by step process in making a software or program and the types or kinds of Software Development Life Cycle.

OMG! this is the most craziest project and most complicated project we ever done in our IT college years not to mention the Thesis. But this time we really do the measuring of the building, schematizing, placing MDF and IDF, costing, and even proposing it by a Proposal Defense with our panelist Sir Eric Emberda, Sir Laud our Adviser and our very own Mr. Joseph Yamit, and it end up to a re defense and major revision. whoaw!and mind you, we are pure girls, me, IC, kali, vlad, tin2 and babes.

Then we really do our best just for our networking proposal to be accepted, we done it by brain storming (hahha.. I laugh of the term) and by not sleeping. I assure you that, we finished it until the sun came out.Now that what I called Sleepless night.. hehhehe

Here are our memorable pictures

By the way, we are assigned to UIC Bajada Grade School Building, Multi-purpose Building and the Mother Ignacia Gymanasium.

< !

Here is our schematic diagram with the floor plan and with measurements too, we use MS Visio , the cable lines, the equipments and the labels.

Last October 5, 2008 and October 12, 2008 1-5:00 pm, The BSIT IV A conducted a Computer Literacy Program for children who are not literate yet to computers. This program was sponsored by the ITE Program and ofcourse the UIC for the venue the computer laboratory. There are 35 students ages 8-11 years old from Dona Pillar Grade School. In one computer there is only one student, so that they can easily learn how to use it. We taught them how to turn on the computer, how to type in the keyboard, how to surf the internet, basics in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint. Well indeed they learn something from us, not all but I guess it is so heart warming to be the first teachers who taught them how to use the computer.
