PLDT and SMart are tie-ups.
Coz i remember when i applied for internet at the coffee shop, they made me fill up a Smart Bro Application form and at the same time apply for a PLDT phoneline.
I am currently disappointed with their service.
I am paying 3K a month for the wifi connection at my coffee shop for a 2mb/sec speed.
When they installed it on a friday, it was working. The next day it wasnt working anymore. The following day it still WASNT working... until came TUESDAY morning ( so thats 4 days already). We called Saturday afternoon, they said it was a weekend so no technician was on duty but first thing on Mnday theyd fix it. Monday came we kept calling they said they reported the problem already and we just had to wait for a technician to come and fix it. Then came tuesday...(imagine how many clients came to the shop for WIFI and left coz there wasnt any connection, imagine how this affected the business)... Tuesday morning we called them up and instead of getting good news from the operator, this was what she told us "Mam naka 50 tawag na po kayo sa amin. Pakihintay na lang po ng technician" ..

Hmm... so umusok ang aking tenga...pero decided okay il wait for the technician...maybe hes on his way.
The day finally ended...and no technician was on site.
Wednesday i couldnt afford anymore to lose any of my clients...
So i kept calling them up ...hour after hour...
5pm came...Still no technician in site...
So i told the operator that if they did not have the internet connection fixed,
i want the DSL connection CUT.
I told the operator to note down in my account that i want it CUT right away and got the operators name.
....
Long story huh?... then after 30 minutes ..which was already after working hours... a female called and apologiezed. She said she forgot to endorse the problem to the technician... (Ang cute nya noh?) Nway, yun...dumating ang technician after 2 hours and inayos ang DSL...naayos naman. Kasi sira pala ang modem na kinabit nila...then guess what...
The next day... WALA NA NAMAN kaming DSL CONNECTION.
Hahay...So i called them up again and again and again...
The technician came 7pm.
Fixed things...and said he was gona come back the next day to find out whats causing the problem...
And you know what? He never came back.

How about that kind of service for a 3K Corporate Account?
Not worth it.

Hello,

I am a subscriber of smart too. I experience that very same experience. Redundant situations lang palagi. Don't expect too much from their CSR. I'm pretty sure they know less. One experiment I did when I don't have a connection is to survey the different answers I get from different CSR. 3 CSR with 3 different answers. But they don't really even get close to what's the real problem. It was my canopy antenna, it's broken. Malalayo talaga kanilang mga conclusions sa real problem.

Hmmm... Sa ngayon oks na ang connection ko for almost 8 months or so na. They even upgraded the cellsite where I connect to to 512kbps from 384 kbps (good thing!).

Hmmm.. PLDT and SMART Telecom are partners I think. They do share the same problems with SMART. But take note, area² lang kasi yan. Lucky if malapit sa cellsite. Try BayanTel. They really do offer better service from what I have heard.

Christopher Baluyut: Walang nangyari sa class suit na yun. It just vanished in thin air. But people's anguish are still not resolved against this company. ^_^x

daghan na sad ko nadawat na ingana na reklamo... specially kad2ng nagaflyff pa ko. Pangit dyud daw ug connection ang smart bro. so tama ra dyud na imong banner :D hehe

so... agi-agi ra ko. TC ;)

I heard that some Smart Bro users are planning a class action suit against Smart Bro, I don't know what's the status on that...
